Finally A Snow to Work With
Connor and I took advantage of a good soft snow the other day. We FINALLY got to build that snowman that we've been talking about for months. Connor had such fun he hated to come inside. The next morning it was snowing again and Scott took Connor out to play again. They build the coolest igloo ever. Here's pics of Connor and all his creations-snowmen, angels and igloo.

To Bring It All Up To Date
More pics of Haydn! What a cutie he is and sweet too. He only cries when he's hungry or gets frustrated with those hiccups.Haydn's first pediatrician visit. He's not so happy about being undressed and cold. The little trooper is already gaining weight. He left the hospital on Tuesday at 6lb 2 oz. Yesterday he measured 6lb 4 oz. I must be doing something right! The first trip in the carseat...not too happy about it! He's so little!Connor with Haydn...a happy pair already!Mommy and Daddy with their boys!

What's in a name?
We have finally decided on a name for our newest addition. Meet Haydn Oliver Thompson!
Haydn is doing very well. Even though is premature by a month, he is doing as well as any other full-term baby ever did. He weighed in at 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19 inches long, has dark brown/black hair (that is rapidly falling out, probably to be replaced by blond hair like his brother's), and it is hard to tell what color his eyes are since he hasn't opened them very much since he came into the world. I'm sure he will be sleeping less and eating/crying/pooping more in the very near future, but it sure has been nice having a perfectly healthy, quiet little boy to call our own. We love him so much!
We have taken plenty of pictures of Haydn, and they can be found here.

"No, that's CHEESE!"
This morning, Connor and I were sitting at the table while I made a sandwich for lunch (ham and cheese with pickles, brown mustard and horseradish sauce - yum!) and Connor pointed to the cheese and asked, "Daddy, what's that?" I love getting him to say long words (hearing him say "hypotenuse" makes me smile like nothing else), so I told him, "Connor, that's artificial pasteurized processed cheese product." He looked at me for a second before a huge grin crept across his face, and he responded, "No, daddy, that's Cheese!"

Connor Says...
I was talking to Connor about the baby yesterday. I asked him what he was going to do when the baby came home. His reply, "I tell the baby to RUN and I get him!" I guess you can tell what games we like to play at our house!

Sledding for the First Time
Scott and Connor went sledding yesterday. We finally had snow here in Connecticut that lasted more than a day (not that it will last much more). We went to the park where there's a great hill and had tremendous fun. Connor would laugh the whole way down! The smiles never left their rosy faces. This was a first for Connor.
Precious Moments
Connor woke up from his nap yesterday and found Scott taking a nap too. I was in another room. I heard Connor say a few things and then realized, after a few minutes, that there had been silence for a while and I wondered what had happened. I went to check on them and this is what I saw. A near miracle in my eyes because Connor is usually very ready to be awake and not so easily put back to bed after waking from a nap, especially a good lengthy one.

Happy Birthday to ME!
It was my birthday on Friday(Groundhog Day). Scott decided to take us bowling! It was such a fun idea. Connor loved rolling the ball and knocking the pins over! Destruction has always been more amusing to him than building. We did bumper bowling for Connor's sake but I must admit that it was needed for us too! I scored the highest game I'd ever played, a 121 (sad huh), and won! Then we went to dinner at Applebees. The food was delicious and Scott couldn't help but embarrass me and have the waiters sing. It was a wonderful day!
