Off to School- Kindergarten and 3rd Grade

We were back to school this week!  Haydn started kindergarten and Connor is a 3rd grader!  Both were sooo excited to start school.  Haydn is loving his teacher and making new friends fast.  Connor bounced right back too.  He likes his teacher and has a good group of friends that he hangs out with.  He's started playing soccer at recess he says, even though he brought a basketball on his first day.

Here's Haydn on the way to kindergarten!
Connor on the way to 3rd grade!
Group shot being silly!  I didn't sense any nerves at all!  It was so exciting to be going to school!
Saying goodbye to my big boys on the playground!
I got to walk Haydn into class and get him situated the first day.  Now he is a pro and doesn't need me.  I snapped this picture as I left.  They were starting out with some circle time.
These two happily reunited after kindergarten was over!  They just love each other so much!
We have a tradition at our house that I make a big cookie for the boys on their first day of school and then they get to eat it all week in their lunches.

My Boys

I've GOT to be the luckiest girl to be surrounded by these handsome, sweet boys every day!

Harrison Reunion

Near the end of July we met up with my Dad's side of the family for a Harrison reunion.  We spent our days hanging out together at various parks and went to the beach one day.  The first night we had a campfire, roasted smores and had a poetry telling.  Poetry is a big Harrison tradition.  Connor even got in on the fun and recited "Falling Up" for us.

Tristan didn't really enjoy his smore, he was disgusted by how sticky it was or maybe he was just too tired because he conked out on Scott not long after.  It was a long day outside with a lot of excitement!

These guys conked out too just as soon as we got in the car.
The next day we went to the beach.  It was cloudy and misty and the water was frigid but that didn't stop us.  We played beach volleyball, buried Connor in the sand and enjoyed being together.

The next day we met up at the park for lunch and then went to the community pool there.

We enjoyed seeing Grandpa.  The boys miss not living close to him anymore.

Jonathan helped Haydn learn to swim!  He's pretty good now too.
Connor went off the high dive there as well.

Tristan had loads of attention for the whole weekend from my cousins.
It was such a fun trip.  It's so good to see all the family we rarely see.  We love living on this side of the country again so we can make it to these trips!

Tristan's 3rd Birthday

It was a beautiful day on T's birthday so we went to the beach with friends and played all morning.

Here's Connor and his current heartthrob.
In the afternoon we had a couple friends come over for cake.  He got a cool car cake.  If you know Tristan, you know the cars are his ONE interest!

He got and awesome water table for his birthday that is very loved and well used.

Blowing out the candles.  After playing at the watertable they were a little SOAKED, so Tristan and his friend we down to pull-ups for the cake.
A toy from a friend- a shark monster truck!  AWESOME!
Presents from his family- cars books, hot wheels and a game.

We LOVE Tristan.  He is such a bubbly little man!  Every where he goes I get comments about how cute and sweet he is and it is sooo true.  I have trouble punishing him because he is just so dang cute even when he's pulling an attitude with me!  His life is cars!  He wants to be a race car driver when he grows up.  He often tells me that he can't want to drive a race car.  Living in Beverly Hills we see plenty of nice cars and he ALWAYS points them out.  He's also very imaginative and artistic.  He loves to draw, and still has trouble just keeping it on paper.  He's a solid little man too.  At his 3 year check up he was 37 lbs, and 38 in tall
