Just the Two of Us!
Some pics of Scott and I just being silly together. We were sitting just in front of the temple talking and taking pics. Oh how I wish we were still together. We had such fun while he was here but it went to fast. The boys and I miss him terribly. Connor has asked about Daddy a lot and the other day he told me he wanted to go home "our home"! I love you handsome!
Our Catamaran Adventure
While Scott was here we couldn't pass up the opportunity to do something fun and unique as a family. We took a Catamaran Cruise one morning that showed beautiful views of Honolulu, Diamond Head and of course the ocean. We all loved the relaxing 2 hr ride. We also had fun dressing up. The boys are so cute in their matching Hawaiian outfits. The water is just an amazing blue out on the ocean. There was even this mesh thing on the boat that you could walk on and sit on and the ocean was right under you, you also risk getting wet but it's worth it.Here are some pics of the view!

Diamond Head State Monument
On Saturday we hiked Diamond Head State Monument[.pdf link]. Connor walked the whole way up and back (almost a mile each way)!
The climb up was pretty intense, as you can see from the pictures below.
They trick you into thinking the hike will be easy by paving the beginning of the trail. Once the cement stops, the going gets tough!
The pavement has stopped, but Connor and Jenn keep going!
The wind was pretty intense, but it sure felt nice on a hot day!
The look on Connor's face says it all - we're not anywhere near the top yet!
We decided to take a breather on the way up - the first of many with a three-year-old walking up an inactive volcano!
Moving on...
When it gets really steep, there are stairs carved into the face of the volcano. They sure can be daunting!
The parking lot sure seems far away...
Another break (and a look at how Haydn made the ascent - the only way to travel!)
Connor's Aunt Katie and Uncle Dennis made the hike with us but decided to turn back after one look at this staircase. Can't say I blame them...
Up that staircase, through a dark tunnel, up a winding staircase, and through a WWII bunker, and you arrive at the summit. Here are some pictures of the AMAZING view:
