After SLC we stopped in Vegas to see out old friends the Pettitts. It was such a quick stop but worth it to see them. Connor used to play with their puppy Rocky when he was first brought home.
On our way home we had some car trouble. Our tire blew at about 9pm as we were exiting the freeway to check out a strange sound. We pulled into a casino parking lot that we were passing and checked it out. When the tire blew it knocked the gas tank line with it so Scott waited for a tow truck while I took the kids in a cab, around 10pm, to a nearby hotel casino. I managed to get all four TIRED boys and about 6 bags/backpacks and 2 car seats through the casino before some nice women stopped to ask if I needed help. The boys knocked out fast in the bed in to hotel. Turned out not to be so bad as we thought and Scott rigged up the gas line and found a 24hr used tire store in Vegas so he got the problem fixed and we were ready to go in the morning. We checked out the awesome pool and a yummy buffet before we headed out though. Vegas doesn't like our cars, we've had bad luck there before, but this stop was an unplanned fun adventure after all.
