Ward Camp and lots of catch-up...it keeps going and going!

My Mom's ward had ward camp at Hukilau Beach last week, so the boys and I had tons of fun. We set up a tent with a little help from some nice ward members. They did lots of games for the kids, even an obstacle course. The obstacle course started with balancing an egg on a spoon, spinning around 5 times with a bat(not seen), zig zagging through chairs, jumping over mounds, running around a tree and under a table, hopping in a pillowcase and then finally shooting a basket! Pretty intense...Connor loved it! He especially liked playing basketball on his level. I'm going to have to get him a hoop.Musical chairs.Connor on a throne!Another relay race where they had to pick up a cup full of water, carry it on their forehead and dump it in a bucket to try to fill it.
This was one where the whole team looped a string in and out of each others clothes and then did an obstacle all tied together.Haydn, the charmer, making friends while Connor does the obstacle course. The boys playing in the tent. We actually slept there one night. It was really windy! The morning after our tent adventure we got up and walked up on the beach to watch the sunrise. It was a little cloudy but still pretty.Haydn's first try of rice cereal. After getting used to ice cream, popsicles, bananas, pie, etc. he wasn't very excited about the bland taste. He did better with it the next time we tried it. This is a play by play of his reaction...Connor and Haydn love taking baths together. These pics are just too cute! Haydn loves his big brother, you can see it in his face!

Sam came over to play and had a picnic with Connor one day while his mom ran errands. They rode bikes and played with the dogs and had a great time. Connor is a great little bike rider. We borrowed a bike from his friend Sam and he's been riding it ever since. In fact he got in trouble one morning because he'd asked to go ride and I told him to wait for me to get up and go with him. I found him outside, by himself, riding around at 6am. Thank goodness my Mom doesn't live on a busy street! He wants to ride everywhere...the beach, the park, the store! He's such an outdoors boy!We went on another little hike up behind the temple. These are some pics of us we took at the top looking out over Laie. The view was nice too but these are just some cute pics of the boys I thought we too good to pass by.Both the boys love reading, especially with Daddy. He does all the fun voices and sounds.
Happy Beach Boy! Look at that tongue!
Connor at the beach with his friend Sam. What ever Sam does Connor will follow so he's learned a lot of swimming tricks from him. They love to play together. It will be sad to leave him.Connor and Scott boogie boarding/body surfing!
